LOTUS STOOL BY DANIEL WENGER
Daniel Wenger is a professor of mathematics at Santa cruz University. He designed the Lotus chair, dinning chair and stool in 1969 while living in Topanga Canyon, California.
The frame is powder coated steel the design of which allows a spring and rhythmic sway to the seat adding comfort and flexibility. The sling is 12 oz Latigo leather, allowing the seat to be both supple and durable.
Originally designed to make the meditation process more of a comfortable option it allows for sitting in a lotus position but is equally comfortable as a lounge chair. The lotus is still hand made by Daniel in his workshop in Santa Cruz.
